The Boeing X-32 Joint Strike Fighter was designed as a mulit-purpose fighter for the U.S. Air Force, the Marines, and the Navy. It had a direct lift system for verticle takeoff and landing. This fighter competed against the Lockheed Martin X-35. The X-32 lost the Joint Strike fighter Competition, but it did not cost as much as its couterpart the X-35. I prefer the Boeing X-32 to any other single seat fighter jet.
